Weekend Vibes

Sunday, January 25, 2015
What an unexpectedly busy weekend!
Friday night Brian and I checked out the new hotspot: Dirty French. It's located in the Ludlow Hotel and was the perfect place to have a martini (or two) and catch up. You can sit inside or outside and it has a very sophisticated, lounge feel to it. I want to go back like right now. Brian actually wants to move in.
Woke up Saturday to a text from my student that I mentor saying he was sick today and my entire day was suddenly free. Such a great feeling! I read a little more of Paper Towns and then opted into a last minute yoga class with Ari. If you are looking for a yoga studio in the city try Yoga Vida! My noon class was 75 minutes of pure relaxation and strengthening. Post yoga we were feeling super ZEN and strolled over to Westville for brunch in the EV. Completely over-caffeinated myself and thought I was going to explode for a hot sec, too.
Post brunch I figured that'd be nice of me to take a shower and look somewhat presentable. Met up with Tor and Ali at Risotteria for wine ($4 HH special holla!) while we waited for Paige to arrive! The night ended with more wine and a late dinner at Cooper's. Do I do anything besides eat and drink? No, not really.
And we have Sunday! My family came into the city for brunch at Mercer Kitchen. I had never been! And kinda like my feelings on Dirty French, I need to go back stat. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of spinach/fontina pizza along with mac&cheese. Yeah. It's all about the balance people! Jokes. I also stopped in LF for their huge ass sale of the season. Go check it out if you're in Soho! Many great finds. Tonight I'm watching the SAG awards with some peeps and making this spicy feta dip. Of course it's a recipe from How Sweet It Is. Duh.
