Buh-bye 2014!

Reflecting back on 2014,  January - April is a bit of a blur filled with snow days, lazy brunches, and lots of Netflix. For me, I think 2014 really began with Zach's move to the city in May. Winter itself was obviously awful and Zach's move here was like the starting point to an excellent year. Love ya ZM ;)

Moving into Spring, I conquered yet another Upfront Season with my agency+client and hit my two year mark at Universal McCann. I've been graduated from Miami University for two years and this past May was my brother's turn. Two MU alums in the family now - how fast does time go!? That was a boozy weekend and I definitely left loving Miami more than I did before. #loveandhonor what can I say? Now onto the crazy times of SUMMER. We kicked off the summer season with the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and then followed every weekend after with weekends down the shore in Manasquan.

The summer in Manasquan could really have a post all it's own. Clearly my obsession with my shore house is no secret. Our house was (and still is - we renewed our lease!) right on the water in a prime spot on Brielle Road. Walking distance to bars, a $5 cab ride to Parker House, a huge raft, house dinners, and 48 hours every weekend with some of my best friends was kinda the best way to celebrate summer. Oh, and definitely the best way to turn 25.

Moving out of summer (tear, tear), I transitioned with the seasons and moved apartments as well as jobs. I left my tiny (but adorable) jail-cell sized bedroom and moved into a much more spacious East Village place. It's brand new with high ceilings and windows - so many big, bright windows! (Well.. actually, just one window per room but that is still a lot!!!) With fall comes The Hunt at Far Hills and a much needed reunion with lots of friends. Other fall events included tickets to Sleep No More, an Emoji themed Halloween, mentoring on Saturdays with Minds Matter, and tons of BRUNCH. Cause I missed brunch while living down the shore every weekend. And one last big change for me was my transition from agency life to the publishing side at Bustle. It's been an amazing change and I've truly never been happier with my career.

And now we have winter. Between all the holiday get togethers and Secret Santa parties and dressed up events, December has flown by. Fingers crossed that we don't have another polar vortex (whatever happened to global warming? #smh). Did I mention one of my first splurges in January will be tickets to Coachella? 'Treat yo self 2015' is my New Year's motto. Thank you friends and fam and also strangers who read my blog still. I love you all!
