Interiors | A Brooklyn Renovation

Tuesday, February 11, 2014
This Brooklyn townhouse was ruined by Hurricane Sandy last year and then restored and made flood proofed by the designer and owner, Alexandros Washburn. My favorite part? That painted blue door that marks how high the water came up in the storm. The townhouse has an industrial and vintage feel to it, despite that beautiful newly renovated kitchen. The exposed brick on nearly every wall also made me fall in love. Always a sucker for exposed brick in the city. It's by far my most favorite thing about my apartment, too.

  1. This is a BEAUTIFUL home. And you're right the brick is a favorite! I love it. That door is so amazing. Still so weird to think about the water levels being that high. Whew. Thanks for sharing!
