Weekend: The Fourth!

Some fabulous people // Late night stops // Drinks at Brinkley's // Sushi dinners // Sleepless nights // Keste dinner

What an amazing Fourth of July weekend. Elle and Ash, your visit was exactly what I needed in my life right now. For a quick recap, we stayed in the city for this Fourth and crammed as much activity into four days as possible. Meals were eaten Paradou, Hane Sushi, Keste (with complimentary champs & apps - they love us a little), Ess-a-Bagel, and of course good ole street meat! Nights were spent at Bowery Electric and Brinkley's, and when the bars were closing, late nights at apartments with new found friends. Even some mornings of watching the sun rise at 6 am - I'm a little sleep deprived right now!

When we weren't drinking and eating like buffoons, we were shopping in Soho and on Lexington, visiting Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza, and touring my East Village neighborhood. I also picked up THE skort in Zara and couldn't stop talking about it (then spilled ketchup on it thanks to my delirious 6 am breakfast).

We've already decided that we went way too long without seeing each other. It's so hard living in cities hundreds of miles away from people that you are used to spending every single day with. I get a pit everytime we say good-bye, but it's nice to know that we've already got a plan to visit Chi in September. This was the best way to kick off July. I've got some milestones this month (turning 24...ew, hitting my one year mark at my job...gross) and having this weekend was a nice reminder that I'm pretty much still 21 years old at heart. Nothing changes when you reunite with your bests.
