48 Hours

Monday already??? This weekend was one of the more relaxing ones I've had in awhile. Friday I made the last minute decision to go home to NJ for the night. I needed to pack up my springtime clothes and take a mini (very mini) break from the hectic city life. My job has been non stop lately (excuses for my lack of posting) and I have hardly had a minute to sit down and think about blog life. It was nice to visit with my parents, have some wine, and relaaaaaxxxx.

Saturday I drove back into the city (well my dad drove me along with all my clothes) and we went to lunch at Bareburger, where I boringly ordered a salad. Hey MDW is approaching and this chick is nowhere near ready for a bikini! I did try my dad's burger though it was pretty delicious. And not for anything, but my pear salad was also very satisfying. After lunch I met up with Tor where we shopped around in Soho at Warby Parker and I bought these. You just can't go wrong with a pair of $95 polarized sunnies. Plus their new store on Greene Street is amazing.

What's Sunday without Funday? Noon time brunch yesterday was at the Sunburnt Cow for breakfast and bottomless drinks and then we headed to The Biergarten at The Standard for afternoon beers outside. The weather has been gorgeous lately and I find myself wanting to be with friends and enjoying it - not so much keeping up on the blog grind. However, I promise to be posting more this week!

  1. Well the way you spent your weekend sounds like it was worth abandoning the blog world for a little while ;)

  3. i have good experience on Warbyparker before. If you're looking for top quality glasses, at a fraction of the retail cost, then shopping online at GlassesShop.com is also another good alternative. Their prices are pretty good.
